How to Take a Screenshot on an Android Phone

The standard shortcut (most Android phones)
Press and hold power button + volume down at the same time for about a second.
It can vary by manufacturer: some phones (Samsung with One UI, for example) also let you swipe the edge of your hand across the screen as an alternative gesture, enabled under Settings → Advanced features.
Where screenshots are saved
Automatically in your photo gallery, usually in a dedicated album called "Screenshots" or similar.
Long (scrolling) screenshot
Many modern Android phones offer this right after you take a normal screenshot — an extra button appears to "capture more" or take a "long screenshot", extending the image beyond what fits on a single screen.
