Windows includes a built-in clip recorder (the Game Bar), with no need for OBS or any third-party program for quick captures.
Windows + Gto open the Game Bar.- Recording icon → "Start Recording", or directly
Windows + Alt + R. - Same shortcut to stop.
Capturing the last few minutes (with no prior recording)
Turn on "Record in background" in the Game Bar's settings, and use
Windows + Alt + G to save the last few minutes already
played — useful for capturing something you didn't expect to record
until after it happened.
Clips are saved to Videos → Captures, in MP4 format, ready to share with no further editing needed.
