Which to choose?
IPS is the most balanced option for most uses — work, design, and general gaming. VA makes sense if you prioritise deep blacks (movies, dark content). TN only makes sense nowadays for very competitive gaming where every millisecond of response matters more than visual quality — increasingly less common, since modern IPS panels have closed that gap considerably.
Tip: if you don't know what panel a monitor you're interested in has, look at it from a side angle in-store or in review videos — a TN "washes out" colour noticeably when viewed from the side; an IPS barely changes.
