How to Create Multiple Virtual Desktops in Windows
Windows + Ctrl + D creates one, Windows + Ctrl + Arrow switches between them — separate spaces for work, leisure and projects, with a different wallpaper per desktop so you always know where you are.
Virtual desktops let you separate tasks (work, leisure, a specific project) into distinct spaces, instead of piling everything onto a single desktop.
Creating a new one
Windows + Tab → "New desktop" (at the top), or
directly Windows + Ctrl + D.
Moving between desktops
Windows + Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow — switches between
the desktops you have created, no mouse needed.
Moving a window to another desktop
Windows + Tab → drag the window from the current
desktop to the destination you want, in the top view.
Tip: you can set a different wallpaper on each virtual desktop (right-click the desktop in the Windows + Tab view → "Choose background") — it helps you tell at a glance which one you are on.
Closing a desktop
The windows open on it are not closed — they move automatically to the previous desktop.
